I Swear by PoeticDemon

An accident that changed this one kids life,
Was the type of miracle that doesnt happen in rife,
He took a couple shots and got into his car,
Some friends were with him, he wasn't going to drive far,
They got on the highway and quickly accelerated to 90.
Constantly switching lanes before the exit,
they were almost there nobody expected it,
They got off the highway and were getting closer,
Going 65 in a 45,
me and 3 friends almost died,
the car somehow jerked accidently,
They figured it was intentionally,
The car ran off the road,
flying up in the air and doing 2 flips,
These weren't some daredevil tricks,
My car landed upside down, i opened my eyes,
all i could do was look around,
i asked if everyone was alright,
we were all okay, and all very calm,
Some lady got out of her car and called the peramedics,
she asked if i needed to call my parents,
i sighed and told her that i do,
I told my mom then i told my dad too,
She said it was a miracle we were still alive, she seen it all,
she was about to cry,
"i'm glad you guys are okay, and no one died"
but "thank you" is also 2 words she said when she began to cry,
i couldn't figure out why she said them,
i thought while waiting in the hospital room,
what did she mean? why did she thank me?
I didn't find out till the next day,
but what i found out made the question even harder,
I didn't know what to say....
why did my car jerk?
Me and that lady were less than a foot away from a head on collision,
I didn't turn the wheel, what the hell happened?!
I can't believe i'm alive,
I can't believe everyone survived,
My car is totalled, but i dont care
Thank you god, I'm so thankful, i swear....

this accident happened recently, about a month and a half ago, my car (2002 ford taurus) got completley totaled and my 3 friends who were in the car with me at the time walked away without even a scratch on them, my leg had a couple scratches though nothing big, anyways, i'm just thankful we all walked away, i'm only 16 so it was a pretty big eye opening experience

It does my heart real good to hear such good news, especially from the descriptions you've given in this poem. All I can think of is "wow". To flip in the air twice and come down on the hard concrete road without any life-threatening injuries...now, that's really something. I am very happy for you and your three other friends, that you all are alive and well. Thank God.

my old friend,
i have missed you very much.im glad to hear you have survived this long and are still writing your experiences down for all of us to read.i cant help but wonder if you still think of me from time to time.but i guess not for if you did then i suppose you would write me.but then again maybe you have misplaced my adress.whatever the case i still think of you often and perhaps we will find eachother one day or maybe i have just been reading to many books to have imagine such a thing......anyways you are a wonderful writer.keep it up.

when i read this my eyes started to fill with tears.....it was a miracle!!!! i remember you talking about this...but this poem describes it all...im sooo glad ur alive..and no one died.....you must have something great destined towards u......beacuse if it werent u wouldnt be here and niether would they.....god is watching over us all i suppose
