I Don't

she walked into the room
and faces stared in awe
she
grabbed the gun from behind the picture
and stared into the mirror.
yes i would end my life for you
i would end my life for everything we were
for all the pain you made me suffer.
she walks up the stairs to the choirs floor
she slowly looks down upon everyone.
she notices the beautiful detailing on
the pews, an act of his mother she's sure
she notices all the friends and family.
these people she knew of once, loved her
once, wanted her to be in the very position
that that whore down below is in.
she steadies herself.
she
turns to the crowd
they have their backs toward her.
she timed it perfectly.
they are just about to say their vows.
when i yell.
just a distinct, a very distinct
and piercing scream.
the gun is to my head.
her head.
and she stands there, alone.
always alone
i was.
i never had his heart
or any part of him
she thinks.
i think.
we think.
they all are now gasping
crying, some.
at the sight in front of them
or rather behind them.
his face is priceless and
i can only save this
save this expression on his face
in my memory for the last time
i will ever see his face
again.
YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO LOVE ME!
bang.

------- Author's Notes -------

Just a fantasy of what I would of loved to perform in anger, but wouldn't have been able to. He was sleeping with someone else. He got her pregnant right after we ended things. Became engaged shortly after. Now are married. Story of my life.
