Money Talks
13 August, 2006
Author: Ben Franklin

Money talks,
It speaks profanity,
It adds to a person’s ever expanding vanity

It causes envy,
It’s a seed that blooms into greed,
It’s a drug,
On you it feeds

Id rather be penniless
Then not have Love,
But I guess to some people just waking up every day is not enough.

Awww, Ben

This is so sweet. And you're right. In the end, it doesn't matter what you have acquired at all. If you haven't the love of family and friends, you really have nothing at all. Great poem with an awesome thought.
