Tangled Hearts

Our hearts are in a tangle,
Please tell me what to do.
He loves me and I love you,
But you belong to someone new.

So many nights together,
Our secrets have all been told.
We had planned on this forever,
To each other we would hold.

Then he came in,
And she walked by.
The life we built together
Has all turned into lies.

You tell me that you love me,
I say I love you too.
These words are often spoken,
But how can they be true?

Sandra

Your honesty is compelling. I like the way you have told your story, simply and in a thought provoking way. But the reality of this situation is never simple and there is always so much pain involved. Good luck. Keep writing.
