My Love
28 August, 2006
Author: Nathan Ortberg

vinebar

Tears fall slowly, like morning dew from single blades of grass
They signify the close of one chapter and the start of another
The tears slowly stop and the pain starts to fade
I realize we were not made to be lovers
For the first time in weeks I sleep through the night
My mind is relaxed, and my soul set free
My worries disintegrate, and I feel alright
For once I close my eyes and I don't see your face
When I wake in the morning I feel refreshed
I now have a birds eye view
Now I see all
Not only you
So look at this smile, how does that make you feel
To see the love and the smile
That you tried to steal
But this love is mine take it all in
Because you will never see it again
