Don't Miss Missing You
3 September, 2006

So many nights I pined away
Wishing you were by my side
Nothing but an empty space
Couldn't forget no matter how much I tried

But today is a new day
I have a new love in my life
Filling those moments I used to crave
While I was still your wife

I don't miss missing you tonight
No longer together and alone
I don't miss missing you tonight
No longer wishing you'd come home

I cried myself to sleep at night
Wondering if this time you'd come back
While you were out running round
My mind just couldn't face the fact

That my heart was breaking
I was holding on to a dream
And that if I would just let go
Things wouldn't be bad as they seemed

I don't miss missing you tonight
I'm much better on my own
I don't miss missing you tonight
No more sitting by the phone

I packed my bags and moved away
never daring to look back
It's good things turned out this way
Now my life is back on track

I don't miss missing you tonight
As I answer the knock on my door
I don't miss missing you tonight
As he dances me cross the floor
I don't miss missing you tonight
While the smile crosses my face
I don't miss missing you...

I don't miss missing you tonight

sad that you got hurt

This is a great write for someone hurting, letting others know that they will fall in love again. And they will be treated nicely. Way to go Dreamer.
