The days pass by
As I move on,
The love is lost, no longer giving me a gentle path to follow.
I hear the midnight howls whilst sorrow filled darkness falls
yet I lay down uncomforted.

For unspeakable reasons, I hear calls.
Calls for my voice. My touch. My name.
But to no prevail, my great sword of passion breaks into many.
So long ago, to wish and hope that she could be mine,
My pot of gold from the rainbow.

However, no good comes from sunken ships and slain knights.
Gentle nights of love and care, dancing underneath the stars.
My fingers running across your back, caressing the skin of a goddess,
A small piece of heavenly delight.

Now the past is over and gone, my eyes begin to open in realization.
This one love thought to be true,
Was never meant to be in this time of life.
Though night after night, I still wonder,
If this love cupid mistaken had to come to such an end.

Perhaps there was much more I could of done to save the day.
Perhaps go back to the final kiss of the lost.
Day by day
Week by week,
I search in the essence of time.
Hopeful for the day my heart of two rebuilds to one.

Reflections.
Left in the rain, as you walked away,
telling secrets of unfaithfulness.
Hard to let go.
Move on.

Days pass by as I move along.
No kiss.
No goodbye.
Just a simple it’s over.
