Protect these loved ones
From their captors hate.

Reveal the cause that hides each fate.

Tell them we'll meet by the pearly gates.
God rest their souls till judgment day.
Where you'll take all pain and tears away.
Let the flags wave high! Till Johnny's home.

Thank you Marilyn
for writing this reminder to the rest of us. Just the idea of someone being sent off to war, and being captured and then LEFT BEHIND by those that sent them, overwhelms me with the injustice of it all. I do not know how the families of those who are POW or MIA get through the day, not knowing where their loved ones are, or what cruelties they are being subjected to. God Bless all of those who have yet to return.

thanks mc saying thanks to these loved ones who have been waiting and wondering and praying seems so hollow . for we have no way of knowing their loss and pain unless we own it our selves.god bless them and keep them.
