The End Of The Affair
2 October, 2006

I know you are leaving to never return
But I wish you nothing but love
Time spent together was not wasted or lost
It was sent from Heaven above.

We both have agreed there is nothing more
Between us no words need be said
Except for a tear that falls from my eye
To acknowledge our love is now dead.

Do not forget me as you move on
Or this brief encounter in time
Remember the days and wonderful nights
That will always be yours and mine.

Sad, but ...

beautifully expressed.
Great poem.
