Blooming

vinebar

The tiny seed lay embedded beneath the earth,
Very motionless,
She grows.
As demure as she can be,
A tiny seed forms her stem.
She sprouts,
She grows.
Her little eye opens,
Her flower like arms start to form.
She starts to bloom into the perfect rose.
She yawns and her eyes squint.
The little rose stretches.
She fans her petals.
The little rose dainty, Yet seductive.
She is warmed by the sun
And showered by the rain
The little rose stands motionless.
As every one admires her charm.
Thorns start to form,
As this not so innocent flower begins to grow old.
Her appearance is deceiving,
She smiles at you,
Making you want to touch her.
You reach out and she betrays you.
You have been discouraged,
So bitter.
Your heart is pierced.
How can something so beautiful,
So breath taking hurt you so much?
The little seed grew into a soulless rose.
As time passes the rose stands dim.
Abandoned.
Her beauty became an insecticide
And drove every one away.
As the rain falls hard
The rose starts to submerge.
She lives, but does not survive.
The sun so hot she can not breathe.
Left to die she cries a lonely tear.
The little rose once so innocent
No longer blossoms
Nor does she grow.
She stands limp.
Her petals begin to decay.
The little rose no longer lives,
But her betrayal will never die.
