A candle, and a glass of red wine
I close my eyes and wonder if I'm on your mind
I try to imagine what you are doing at this moment
So many notions in my mind I'm barley coherent
Compelled to leave my leaden world and rush to your side
But defeated by circumstance I wait until it's right
Now I stare at the candle and sip the wine
The wine puckers my lips as if to kiss you, attempting to accelerate time
But the world moves at it's usual pace
Keeping patient until we are finally face to face
For now a reverie of the moment when our worlds become one
A moment that is parallel to none
Our souls will join highlighting the better parts of ourselves
An enigmatic connection making our love felt
Moving in slow motion making the moment last
Feeling all the emotions that over time we have amassed
Patience my love I know that it's hard
But know I will never concede now that we've come this far
I will strive everyday to make your world better
And with each passing minute I'll love you more than ever
So promise me that I can have you forever
Promise me and I'll show you forever
