A Family Tree
25 November, 2006

vinebar

So many roots all grown strong,
Holding together us all as one,
Branches out here and there,
Together we grow but always as one,
Then all grown we branched out now many,
Our trunk remains our inner strength,
With a person known as mum,

Our tree has grow and directions have changed,
But to us our mum is still the same,
She seeded our life, taught right from wrong,
She took a twig as we grew away,
Still knowing her roots are strong and solid,
Gave us the strength to branch out more,

Now in bloom our Tree is vibrant,
It’s colours amaze all who gaze,
Our tree now branches across continents,
Crossing seas of magical qualities,
It’s Branches now grown beyond its children’s children,
But those roots still remain so strong today.

Very Nice and Strong

This is a very nice and strong poem about a family staing together and remembering good thoughts. Your poem really touched me.
