Mental Abuse
3 December, 2006
Author: Barbara Goodhew

vinebar

Instead of molding a young mind with encouragement,
Some have to discourage with negative feedback.

Discouragement to a young mind, is Mental abuse.
It's cruel and unnecessary.

Young minds need to be encouraged, not discouraged
To be able to reach their potential.

So be kind
To young minds.

As my Grandma used to say

If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all! But then again, when it comes to kids as adults we should always be able to find words of encouragement for the young. I couldn't agree with you more Barb.

Thanks gals

You know what kids feel like when some think it's constructive critism. A young mind doesn't see it as that. They have doubt enough about themselves.

And truly

don't we ALL have enough doubts about ourselves, no matter how old we get? I say be kind to everyone. It sure doesn't hurt to spread kindness and love where-ever you go. I always enjoy your cryptic messages, Barb. They are always short, sweet and very much to the point. Good job.
