A Daughters Good-bye
Author: T'Lonna Robbins

Dear Dad,
I wanted to talk to you
About my feeling and thoughts
And my memories too
It's been 4 years
All my smiles and laughs
Have turned to tears
I remember when you said
I'll always be here for you
Then you kissed my head
I wish i could turn back time
Start all over agian
Bring back whats mine
Im growing up now dad
Im not a little girl
The one you once had
Its hard growing up
Without you here
Missing out on a lot of stuff
I used to imagine you with me
When i had no one
Couldnt you see
You never should have left from the start
A large piece of me is gone
A piece of my heart
Life is so hard without you here
Even though were far apart
I still feel you near
It seemed like i was dreaming
Then it turned into a nightmare
That had no meaning
I can do new things now
I know you can see me
But i dont know how
When I thought i was a zero
You lifted me up
You were my hero
I know you hate it when i cry
But things are so rough
Without you by myside
I remember how you could make me laugh
Without saying a word
But now youre gone
And my stomach hurts
Ive waited to see your white light
Saying its ok and I love you
So i can go to sleep at night
I cant live without a fathers love
Its an important gift
God sent from above
You will always be in moms heart and mine
But this is for you
I love you and I miss you
A daughter godd-bye

must be a song

This poem sounds like a song. If it isn't, it sure looks close to one. That's good that you're auditioning for American Idol. I hope you get the majority's vote. That's right girl...press your way to stardom. If you do make it and need a musician, don't forget the name Meridian. LOL.

Another lovely poem T'Lonna!

Sitting here reminiscing
with memories that bring tears to my soul.
My father and brother died 9 days apart.
That was 34 years ago ----
and still the grief has not vanished.
T'Lonna - I know your Dad talks to you.
He has left you treasures yet to unfold.
Like the rose that grows in the snow!
It is there waiting for your grasp.

Rick is right. Your father is with you every step of the way, always watching over you, always there to protect you. Talk to him and then listen....he will give you the signs you ask for. Your love for him transcends his death. His love for you will do the same. Take strength in all that he gave you, and there will be so much more to gain and give back to the world.
