How still the night with the moon so full
A light dusting of the first winter snow
The breeze gently blowing; crisp chill in the air
And the stars shine in patches overhead

Glittering colorful lights line the street
Reindeer and holiday creatures galore
Adding a magical glow to the season
A beauty found only this time of year

A feeling over comes the spirit
childlike happiness and glee
Humming carols.. breaking the silence
of a walk in winter jubilee

My sentiments exactly

I love this. You have described the holiday spirit so well. And I can almost see the snow falling and picture in my mind the lights and decor. Thanks for putting this magical feeling into words. Have a wonderful holiday season :)

Takes me back

These beautiful words recall a Christmas Season when it could be seen from a youthful perspective. I still like to see it that way.
Have a really great year!
