The Most Precious Gift

Tonight I'll tuck you into bed
And the sugar plum fairies
Will be dancing in your head

You'll dream of Santa upon his sleigh
Hoping Rudolph knows the way
To our house on Christmas day

Presents he'll place under the tree
For you, mommy and daddy and me
I can't wait to see the expression on your face
On Christmas morning, when you awake

For Santa and his elves have been quite busy
Filling each and every request
From this precious little girls Christmas list

Little Mermaids you'll find swimming under the tree
I can almost hear you shrieking with glee
As you exclaim, Na-Na see what Santa Claus brought just for me

Princess makeup and finery
We'll play dress up, just you and me
Hurry up and open that present there
For a Christmas memory
We both will share

Spiderman jammies and slippers too
A cabbage patch dolly with eyes of blue
All of these, Yes presents galore
Await this dear little child on Christmas morn

The most precious gift I see before me
Does not lie under the Christmas tree

She stands about three and a half feet tall
With eyes that sparkle and shine
Wearing a smile which is simply divine

My Maddie girl, a little angel sent from above
Who fills my life and heart with so very much love

Thanks once again

for taking the time to read and comment. As it is Christmas Eve and we opened one present tonight, I've been fortunate already to see that special look on her face that fills my heart with joy. May you have a joyful and blessed day.

Caty

you have such a precious heart. That little girl is so blessed to have you in her life, and we are so blessed that you share your heart and soul with us. Hope that your holiday was made wonderful, also.

Blessed Gift.

"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God." Mathew 5:9
Blessed be the children, that they may become the peacemakers.

with these words, Heaven must be missin' an Ange

Hi Sweetie, this is a truely sweet write it brings out the person that you are, i have always believed that we cain see, feel and touch love through a childs heart,I WANT MY HEART FOREVER TO BE LIKE THAT OF A CHILD ! a big percentage of that Love is due to the person whom gives that Love, i just Love how your Heart exposes your soul.. you are a true Angel to Maddie, and to all of us here.
