There Once Was A Girl

Once apon a time there was a girl
Who never let anyone get her down
She was as precious as a pearl
and she was very popular in town.

She had a boyfriend who loved her so
They were meant to be
He never thought anyone could sink so low
The man was too drunk to see.

Her coma lasted only a few days
She awoke in her boyfriend's arms
She was still in a daze
ButI bet he made her smile with his charms

The two felt thankful and blessed
He hugged her softly with a smile
Nobody would have ever guessed
that his hug, was a hug of death.

They were crazy in love
He trys to move on
But he can't stop going back to the cove
Where he realized she was really gone

Now she smiles down on us
In that place up in the sky
She wants us to always remember what once was
But move on with life with a smile and a sigh.

In Loving Memory of Marissa Armijo, 15 who was tubing with her family when a drunk driver on a seadoo ran right into her. She died later that week. God Bless Her Soul. I miss her soo much. We were best friends and then I had to move. I wish I could have said goodbye.

You said it in your heart

I was very moved by your poem..This was very tragic..you've done a fine job in commorating her spirit.

This is the saddest kind of sad.

A young girl lost her young life, and her family may have seen it happen. At least her boyfriend was there when she awoke for a short time.

I hope she has a special place in heaven, and I hope her killer will have a special somewhere to spend forever thinking about what he did.

This is a very touching write. I'm truly sorry for the loss of your friend and for all she lost.

Britney

Hi Nicole! I remember Britney (another poet on this site) had written a poem dedicated to Marissa Armijo and I'm guessing you both go to the same school. All the same, I'm sorry that she's passed, and at 15 too....all because of a driver who was well over the legal limit...

Nice dedication.
