Blind

Take a good look open your eyes,
Take off that Mr. Nice guy disguise.
Oh! I'm the stupid one, I forgot you are wise,
Too bad your the only one that sees all my cries.
I forgot that you're right and I was so wrong,
How stupid to think love last this long.
How dare I speak up or speak my mind,
I forgot you're the "only" man I will find.
My mind says one thing my heart another
I'm in a bind love and hatred all combined.
But how is it that you see so different than me?
Are you blind or is it me that can't see?
But there I go again blaming myself,
Can't put the blame on nobody else.
Of course not you! You can't be blind,
You don't seem to notice "your" trailing behind.
I forgot "your" the man and what you say goes,
Because you work hardest or most I suppose?
But what would you be without me? Nobody knows!!!

You must know someone who's conceited and needs a pin stuck into them to reduce all that air or that pride. Someone who, if shown a mirror, still couldn't see that they are capable of being imperfect. Three syllables when commenting on this poem....Dy-no-mite! Write more Marcia! Lovely, just lovely!
