Why do I love you
Why do I care
You used me so much
Like I was thin air
Every time I see you
My heart starts to race
But after that
Every pain comes back into place
I can’t seem to hurt you
No matter how hard I try
And even if I do
I begin to cry
I think of all the hurt
That you caused me
I want revenge but
It’s not that easy
I wanna be your friend
Every time I see you in the halls
I see you with other girls and
My hear well it just falls
I dumped you four times
And every time you wanted me back
But now you don’t and
I feel like I’m hung up on a tack
But what made you do it
The cruelest thing of all
To give her my Christmas present
And then have her show it off
To me and everyone in the halls??

The Terminator

Makes you feel like taking the role of Schwarzenneger in The Terminator. Revenge. Ah yes. When folks treat you like a dog, sometimes you have nothing else on your mind than getting even. However moving on and forgetting the hurt and ignoring the person and revenge for that matter is the hardest thing to do because you're doing a slow burn.

But lovely poem. Sorry you went through this though. I would love to read more of your poems Shelbie! This is some great stuff!
