Learning To Walk Again

I lost loves battle
I came out bruised and beat.
But i'm learning to walk again
and stand on my own two feet.
Mighty winds still taunt me
and the rain brings me down.
But i'm learning to walk again
with both feet planted on the ground.
I don't know what tomorrow may bring
it may bring a raging storm.
No matter what lies ahead
I must keep walking on.
Our memories still haunt me
and in my thoughts you still creep,
But I must keep learning to walk
and stand on my own two feet.

Even though we fight as hard as we can to keep it, sometimes love is a losing battle. And many times we come out bruised, and beaten emotionally, but we must learn to walk again with our own two feet. |
