Gazing Into The Night Sky

Chase away my dreams tonight,
Scare away all my nightmares.
You are what keeps me up, at night,
Drowning in my own tears.
I am taken away, as I lay here,
Sleeping without my eyes closed.
There is another place,
There is a better world.
There it is just above my finger,
As I point to behind the moon.
Your face conceals my haven,
All until you reveal those eyes.
I get lost in your windows,
Always with the hope of getting in.
Al I can do is gaze up tonight
The stars are bright,
But they can not replace you,
With your shinning face in the sky.
