Being told that you should be thankful for,
The roof over your head.
The food you get.
The understanding.
The compassion.
Why should kids or anybody be thankful
for being made to feel like a bother
for the food, shelter and clothes, that are begrudgingly given.
If not given out of love then kids or people won't be thankful,
only angry, to be seen as a burden.

Queen of Life Lessons

If I'm right, is it like when a parent says, "don't forget all that I've done for you" or "all that I've given to you throughout the years"...?

Or a parent saying to an ungrateful child (sort of like Dreamer's "Day of Dissapointment" poem) who doesn't show any sign of appreciation for their parents unmerited favor/unselfishness/unconditional support and love...?

All the time, you've got the advice of the day!

yep we didn't make you do all those things for us

I was adopted and everytime I did something that they didn't like and spoke my mind I got reminded how much they did for me,taking me in,feeding me,clothing me well the children aids did that for me too.
