You Can't

You don't know how I feel
this pain I carry is so damn real.

You can't taste these tears I cry.
You can't mend these wings to fly.

You can't chase away my blues
or heal the hurt I've been through.

You can't burn out the dark
or light my heart with just one spark.

You can't pull me out of this shell
or save me from this blazing hell.

You can't stitch up my heart, and
you can't fix what's torn apart.

You can't stop all this strife.
you can't love me back to life.

I died along time ago, when the
devil stole my soul.

very nice poem.....

Very well written Tammy I truly enjoyed this. yes, lost love often seems as though we never get over it. In time though your heart will heal, trust me, I know, all too well I know. Keep writing Tammy and thank you for sharing.
