Slower Thinking
20 June, 2007

Slow my mind -
Be kind to my self,
inner and outer
and in between.

I am liking me.
It's a long, hard
journey and job,
being without you here -
without the habits and routine
and non routine we had accumulated
and used day after season after season
with you.

Now alone -
happier,
scared at times.
My strength gathers.
My heart melts little by little.
The lush jungle trees
adore the humid sizzling mid June days.

I sit inside -
fearing the heat -
Calming my mind -
Being kinder -
Being -
just being -

Slower thinking -
Slow summer days approaching -
Alone in my hammock,
swaying to the gentle beats of my heart.
