Tangerine Walls
29 June, 2007

Paint drips
onto the wooden floor,
in what was once your room.

Tangerine colour explodes
onto the wall -
covers your fingerprints -
your confusion.

Sun shadows stream
onto the newly painted wall -
pleasant scene.
The trains chug by outside.
The air is still,
awaiting the buzz of cicadas.
The pool outside is empty.

In this intense
stillness,
a foggy mirage
of the ghost of you
wanders to find
the door,
the new tangerine door,
that will lead you
to a larger confusion
outside
in the reality
of everything
you escaped from
in your blue room.

I liked

What a nice way of expressing changes in things and ourselves. At least that was my interpretation of this.
