Graduation Day
Author: Catyrose

Trapped in a corner I shall not be
Iíll walk out that door
I shall be free
Bound to this desk
By a ball and chain
So much effort, far too little gain
One day soon Iíll be strong enough
I simply wonít take anymore of your ďguffĒ
Iíll write that letter of resignation
And take off to a brand new destination
To a place where I will be held in esteem
Yes, one day soon Iíll realize my dreams
Iíll not look back with regret or sorrow
Off, Iíll be enjoying a brighter tomorrow
Iím grateful, sir for your cruel and callous ways
For the smugness in your voice and the harsh words you say
Unwittingly, youíve planted a seed
This piss poor paycheck I will no longer need
From this day forward Iíll cast aside all fear
Itíll be a cold day in hell, before you reduce me to tears
Iíve crossed off day one of two-hundred and fifty-nine
Just nine more months and it will be time
Iíll smile broadly as I brusquely say
Good-bye, Good-Riddens

------- Author's Notes -------

Sorry for the "language", hope it doesn't offend anyone. Not a good day at work. This was my way of letting off steam. God willing, I will graduate in May and this fantasy here will come true :)

loved your expressiveness

You write how you feel which is good. Go after that dream ,with the way you write you have talent
in communication. Go after what you want!

me too

I'm just agreeing with everyone else tonight. Thought I'd stop by this addicting site before I study for my quiz on tomorrow night.

This describes your feelings well and clear of the way you feel toward certain people who enjoy giving you a hard time!

Barb and Meri

for your comments ladies. It's been awhile since I've been to this site. School work, work, etc. have kept me pretty busy. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you all. Have a Happy Holiday Season....
