Homecoming Love
27 August, 2007

On a hill on a distant shore
I wait for her,
And nothing more.
In a sea
Of roses red,
I shall lye down
To rest my head.
You have been gone
For so long,
But I can still hear
Your glorious song.
The sound will go on
Between my ears,
Where it has played
For countless years.
When all my tears
Fall to the sea,
I see a reflection of you
Where should be me.
Clouded thoughts fill my mind,
Until they clear up,
With the Love so blind.
On this day you come back to me
The white ship from afar.
Quickly sailing toward home
I can see your car-
Go on the deck,
Of many golden chests.
Out of all these treasures
The site of you is the best.
Now come over here
Where we can rest our heads,
For now I am sure you’re not dead.
