The Problems Of Change

She’s the girl in every dream.
Always in the back of every scene.
You don’t know her name,
You can’t see her face,
But you know who she is.
She’s the girl who doesn’t fit,
The one always out of place
Suddenly she disappears without a trace!
Oh, wait there she is.
Now she fits in perfect
But do you know her now?
She only wants to be noticed.
Doing what the popular kids do.
But blending in destroys her self image.
Uniqueness demolished,
Common girls will never last,
You’ve tried that before.
You need someone who’ll never fit in or change,
But first you must be yourself.
Find the real you,
And she will come back.
She came first for you,
Not what you turned into.
Now turn yourself back,
And open up.
Get on your board
And don’t impress.
Just be the one she found before
Don’t try to act.
Don’t try to be.
Just be.
Don’t think, just do,
And she will come to you.
