When I close my eyes I can see you standing there
Sunlight shining thru the windows reflected in your hair
Eyes as bright as diamonds lips as red as wine
Never in my life had a woman looked so fine
The moment that I saw you it took my breath away
It was love at first sight I guess you could say
From that moment on you’ve been right by my side
Thru the good times and the bad thru the truth and the lies
I know that there were times when you should have run
And never come back to me for the things that I had done
Sometimes I don’t understand how I could find someone like you
Or how you could love me the way that you do
But you’ve always been there for me you’ve always made a stand
And given me support and held onto my hand
But you’ve given me more than that you’ve given me a life
And one day I pray to have you as my wife

Awwwww.....

This poem sounds almost like a proposal!....Man,this one is so beautiful. This would make a beautiful proposal to the one you love! Beautiful and very touching....makes me think of my fiance when he proposed. Great job! That's what a poet is suppose to do, stir the emotions of ALL readers, poets and nonpoets!

I second that motion.

I guess it should be "second that emotion". I agree with Princess Moon. I think you should save it for a proposal. The only problem is that she should be the first one to hear it.
I think it's very good and I'm only a guy with two feet. (left feet, I never could dance.)
Your other writes are also outstanding. Keep 'em coming.
