I'm someone else in your eyes
But I'm the same person you use to desire
I changed in your eyes
But I'm the same girl you use to admire

I masked myself when things went wrong
I ran into a corner I can't get out of
I threw away the world
I ruined our love

You'll never believe I'm sorry
You'll never believe I love you
You'll never believe my truths
...You never thought I was true...

I'd asked for a second chance
But that's already come and gone
But, God, I believed in forever
I thought even through our weaknesses we'd end up strong

Now your eyes only see a monster
Your heart's closed it's doors to any possibilities, any dreams
Your thoughts of me are filled with hate
If only you knew nothing is as it seems

I cherished your inviting smile
And melted safely away into your arms
Loved every single chocolate
Adored my charm

Everything was placed on my heart and in my hands
I never meant to let it go
I regret every word out of anger
And all the negativity I have shown

My words and actions didn't mimick my heart
My lips paid no attention to my mind
I buried our love deeper each day
And erased it in such a short time

I relive every moment every day
I fight the tears but they always prevail
You say I'll be alright with hate in your words
I can't believe I've done this-how badly I've failed

You're amazing to me
Everything we shared was so unreal
I wish an apology would be heard
But now I'll hold onto everything, forever, that I feel
