Forever Will Hurt

"The sweetest thing I've ever known"
I hum as my fingers trace my collar bone
-Where my lock use to sit
...It symbolized so much
"I'd lock away your heart forever"
Whispers of memories dance through my mind
-Where you've been all this time
...Everything meant so much

"I'll replace all those bad memories with good ones of us"
A promise that made me so happy
-Now causing tears
...I'll never hold you again
"Don't let them get in the way of our love"
But all their words reached you
-Paranoia set in
...And you'll never love me again

"You're my lady"
Every song played-a song for us
-You made everyday special
...Now everday hurts
"Hallelujah"
I can't listen to track 7 on that cd
-We couldn't "make it last forever"
...Now my forever will hurt

wonderful tribute to an ending

So sad when things friendships or loves end. This poem showed the feelings really well. The hurt showed through the whole writing.. Good work LinzAy hope soon a new song will sing to your heart.
