Mother Earth To Farther Sky
21 May, 2008

Grass turns green and starts to grow
Starting to grow, turning green as it goes.
Misplaced flowers also known as weeds,
They grow too throughout the new lawn of green,
Weeding and feeding it’s that time again,
Cleaning the mower and setting the sprinklers to go,
Roses in bloom pinks, reds, and yellows too,
English lavenders starting to wake,
Cactus now sharing their flowers this time.

The wind now settles as the sun now heats,
Time for the A/C to start its whirring all summer long,
The marvel of spring, colours and smells leaving a glow,
Warm inside seeing dormant spring come alive,
Rabbits in the garden free to roam wild,
Ground squirrels come out to feed from their home,
Sitting and watching while reading some words,
I see these marvels happen in my eyes,
Knowing that mother earth has had a hand,
From mother earth to farther sky two parents we can rely,
Their task season thru season is seen as beauty each time we look,
Take a deep breath and see the change clear,
It’s time to move on and maybe away.
