Some days innocence returns
He has a tendency to come and go
With him by my side, I become a child once again
Bubbling over with laughter at the silliest things
Some days my long lost friend
Melancholy pays a visit
She stays for a little while
Leaving me feeling old and tired, with no strength left to smile
Some days joy arrives and takes me by the hand
He wraps me up in his warmth
Lifting me up and setting me free
This blissful state brings out the best in me
Some days sorrow drops by
In her presence, I experience a sense of grief and fear
Reminding me of all the times my heart has been broken
As my eyes fill with tears
Some days love arrives
He fills me with hope
My life is full of wonder and delight
I see beauty all around, whenever love abounds
Some days peace calls on me
She chases away my pride and vanity
Providing the chance to make amends
To those I call my family and friends
Some days are better than others
Yet they provide a lesson you see
Each one has helped me to unravel life’s little mysteries
Today my heart is once again filled with a sense of compassion
For each and every person I meet

Caty, this is very reflective...
bein' optimistic, i prefer to be Unattainable to some of life's roller coaster emotions--BUT.. we at some point in our life's, we all face and battle death , heartbreaks etc. it seems their unwanted presence becomes a reflection that helps maintain the balance in one's life...God Never Gives us more than we can Handle..
you have a very unique talent in your writin' ability..keep it strong!!

I also noticed that, except for the last one, the good stuff was reserved for the him's and he's, while the ladies got the negative stuff.
You may soon have equal rights crusaders breathing down your neck. Be careful. L.O.L.
Keep up the good work.
