Running Through Rainbows
8 August, 2008
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

vinebar

Each day is practicing for the future
Growing up way to fast
Trying to be so adult like
Things have to be this way or that

Consequences for the actions
Due to near adolescent urge
Experimenting with choices
Not a second thought is served

Facing the repercussions
Is sometimes the lesson learned
Not really that much fun
Luckily this time no one got hurt

No more time to embrace the youth
Spending time in childish play
Just running through the rainbows
Trying to make it through the day

------- Author's Notes -------

These days kids grow up way too fast instead of taking the time to enjoy just playing.. What is that saying?? Oh yeah, Youth is wasted on the young..
