I'm Sorry

I'm sorry I believed in you
I'm sorry that I loved you
I'm sorry that I trusted you and that I took you back

I'm sorry that I need you
I'm sorry that I want you
I'm sorry I will never be good enough, and for everything I lack.

I'm sorry I'm not her
I'm sorry that I'll never be
That woman that you believed I was each time you looked at me.

I'm sorry that I cry
each time you walk away
I'm sorry that I can never hear what I need you to say.

I'm sorry that I'm stronger
I'm sorry that I now know
The man I need to love me, for my love to grow.

I'm sorry you're not him
I'm sorry that I finally learned
That my love will be valued, respected and earned.

I'm sorry that now I'm,
The one who is walking away.

Today is that day I told you "you let the wrong woman walk away".
For I was your rock and now look where you stand is
On sinking sand, holding HER hand.

I'm sorry you couldn't see
This woman who I am.
But, now I'm strong, I deserve his love and together WE SHALL STAND!
