Why do sweet little babies have to die?
Why do hearts get broken and people lie?
What is wrong with this world where we live?
Where everybody takes and nobody will give.
Wrong is right and right is wrong.
And lyrics talk about drugs and sex in every song.
What happened to love one another?
What happened to honor your father and mother?
Instead people are killing for no reason.
Doing drugs because it is pleasing.
What happened til death do us part?
I don't remember the vows saying I will cheat and break your heart.
These days you don't see to many golden anniversaries
Just a bunch of one night stands and flings.
Why isn't anything like it should be?
What happened to the land of the free?
I don't understand anything anymore.
Why some people are rich and others are poor.
Nothing makes sense and I can't understand why.
It's things like this that rip me open and make me cry.

I wrote this one day after I found out my friends wife had a miscarriage. It just got me thinking about all the things in life that I find unfair and I was just in one of those moods... I write best when I am upset. |
