Lonely
Author: Nikki

vinebar

As I close my eyes, I step back into the past. Memories play back in my mind like a picture show. My soul holds close these moments, as if they where a life line. Refusing to let go. Fearing the loss of these glimpses in time.

My stomach seizes and my heart races as one image appears more often. The pain of letting go still breath taking. Tears flow freely without conscience thought.

I gasp for air as he flashes in my soul. How does he hold so much of me and not know? I long to touch him one more time. To watch his soul sparkle in his eyes.

I've gone on with my life, even if I secretly carry him in the biggest part of my heart. I'm lonely without him here. I know he's with me even though we are miles apart.
