Inner Child
15 November, 2008
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)

vinebar

remnants of bittersweet mother's love
thriving for a perfection that would never be met
longing to be excepted
not compared

victim of critical thinking
striving to be noticed and praised
noticed for yourself
not to live the lost life of another

never good enough
an actress pretending her life away
hoping for the praise of only one
alone crying on an empty stage

remnants of bittersweet mother's love
emotional baggage carried through life
self-esteem waning
thriving for a perfection never to be met
