Matter Of Fact

What matters ?,
the changing sky -
friendly with all of it's moods,
the secret city forest,
with the expressway down below -
swoosh swoosh
the constant flow of traffic,
day and night.
It matters that the air is cool and
it is a bit sunny.

Disregard your moods -
your gloomy darkness -
that matters alot,
yet it is not beautiful matter.

It matters that the day
eases into afternoon -
that autumns trees
turn shades of reds and yellows.

I yearn to go down to the hill
to get a change -
a little change,
dramatic to me -
This matters alot.

Your controlling manners
are the least of my concerns,
yet it is what interferes
in what really matters.
Soon,
I hope
you will be gone
and not matter.
