Out At Sea

It’s been only a few hours
Since I started to sail away
It’s been a hundred miles
Since I could see clearly
It’ll be a hundred more
Until I reach the shore
I wish I could turn this ship around
But I sail with the wind

The tears they fall like rain
On the deck of my future
The tears furnish my heart
My choked up throat clogging the drain

The waters keep rising higher
The waves are breaking on the rocks
My heart bleeds out to you
My hands are grasping for the shore
It’ll be awhile before I can come back
It’ll be awhile, lost a sea.

face the winds

face to the winds and let them blow you in a direction better for you. And let the salts of the sea heal the wounds of the heart.. Home you find your home port again soon....

Great metaphorical writing..

Setting Sail

I am about to start a new college and continue my education. It will be even farther away from my girlfriend than i am already. It will be hard, but it must be dun. This song shows how i long to stay closer to her, but at the same time i am in need to pull apart for a short while. But i shall return when i am done.
