The Poet Who Never Was

An epic story torn apart with cold words.
A hero dies while we watch.
The villain gets away with his life.
Watch as the hero is not willing to fall,
A horror never seen by such pale eyes.
A story told so many times until we realize what it means.
Tell me what happens when we believe the lies.
The answer is hidden within our beating device.
Don’t go down just yet hero, we still need to know ….
Believe me when I say the villain stole your voice.
Help me find the words to carry you through.
A helping hand bleeding from the wrist is useless.
Don’t worry hero your strings will show soon.
Holding you up we will watch you with drifting eyes.
This is when we realize what you were fighting for.
The writer who created your armor is hiding behind you,
Assembling the next part of your demise.
How could we be so mislead when we look to the sky.
When you believe anything, that’s when your theirs for the taking.
You can’t cry because it hasn’t been written yet.
Watch the hero make promises the writer cant keep.
This is what happens when our dreams get in the way
I fall with the hero in question…
My impact will be poetry but I am surely no poet.
