Pass And Turn

I've looked at love from distant eyes
Only wanting to be close
Felt love brush up against me
Never really grabbing hold
I heard words spoken insincerely
Breaking my heart in two
And I allowed all of this
To hide my true self from you

I passed up opportunities to sing with you
Passing up a sweet memory
I allowed moments of "I love you" to pass by
Not reminding you what you meant to me
I passed up kissing your tender lips
Not showing my true admiration
I allowed myself to let strength pass me by
Giving no example of my dedication

I could have done so much more for you
So you would have been confident in our love
I should have said so much more to you
So you would have known you were all my heart ever dreamt of

If I could turn around to what I've let pass
I'd sing for you everyday
You'd hear my whispers and words of "I love you"
In every possible way
I'd kiss your lips every moment you smiled
And melted my heart
I'd turn around and be strong for you
And we would have never ended up apart
