Blossom

I had been waiting most of the year to see out of my window the tree in my back yard blossom. Finally it did in all of its glory, showing me that spring is here once more. Oh what pleasure I have seeing the blossoms, and the birds and the bees drinking the succulent nectar of those beautiful blossoms. I get so much pleasure by watching out of my window at mother nature perform her magic, as I watch out of my window.

I sit in my overstuffed chair as I look at the splendor happening in front of me, I am amazed at what God does for us mere mortals. That tree has been thinking through the long and cold winter, how beautiful it will be in the spring. It was miserable being so bare in the snow and the ice without the protection of it’s leaves. There it stood in the face of the chilly winds, the ice that formed on it’s naked branches,

Because the blossoms are forming does not mean that spring is here yet, but the few blossoms that I see, are a promise to me I will see the tree in all of it’s beauty soon.

There are but a few blossoms at this time, but I know that the tree wants to show the world its beauty, On Easter morning the blossoms will be in full bloom. Although the tree is pretty now, on Easter morn, it will dazzle all who see it. It will show its beauty through the rainy nights and the sunny days for a while. And then mother nature will protect the tree once more with green and strong leaves. They will provide shade to the cows and horses and the lovers too. It will be that way for the summer sun, and then the winds will come and blow the leaves off of the tree’s branches, and then the tree will have to face another cold winter alone.

yeah, it's a cycle

But, it's good to see a tree, full of flowers, leaves - looking so healthy. Unlike humans who weather the storm emotionally, trees weather the storm physically.

Another great write Don.
