The Window
31 March, 2009

The window cracks showing weakness in the distance
My eyes find comfort searching for existence.
I’m always looking through from the other side
I look for the light that’s been pulled aside.

Its cold when you have a hole the size of your heart in your chest
I’m faithless just like the rest.
I’m always led astray by falling wings
I let myself get caught up in invisible strings

This time I’ll have to look to my past
I need to understand the time that has passed
This is the path I am willing to take
If it means never falling for the same mistake.

The window breaks, clocks fall and time stops
The beautiful sky falls as the temperature drops.
I’m not holding on anymore, not for this
I never did exist.
