Torn Eyes
31 May, 2009

Torn eyes blinded by light
Can’t see what lies ahead.
Hatred a hurt heart can feed
When love is what your body
And soul mostly want and need.

Torn eyes reside in darkness
When all they can see is pain
And cruel madness.
In the shadows they remain when
Illusion is the only one friend
That will embrace them again.

And as the days flow bleakly
There is no blood in the veins
And those torn eyes can only
See the rude past and its stains.
