Waiting...

All of my life I've been waiting to grow up.
Instead, I'm just growing older.
I hate just growing old.
All my life I've been waiting for... something.
When I was a kid, I waited for it.
Just a little thing, maybe, just a tiny, small thing
that might have made me smile.
Maybe it would have given me a reason to look back at my day
and think that it had been a pretty good day.
I waited for that, every single day I waited for that...
but it never came.
