She

Can she do it?
Can she do it?
She doesn’t know
Yet she pursues it
She’s a bulldozer
Demolishing boulders
That are nothing but
Obstacles
Can she do it?
Can she do it?
Yeah, she thinks so
Although, she doesn’t really know
But she’ll just go with the flow
Not because I told you so
But she’s a go-getter
No wind can sway her momentum
She’s too flatfooted, too rooted and grounded
Too established, too cemented
Solid
Against dart repellents
She’s a wall
So that no one of mankind
Short, or tall
Can fuse, can permeate
Can infiltrate
She isn’t weak
And her actions will speak
For themselves

She rolls up her sleeves
From sunup to sundown
Ran or shine
Well, you know all the clichés
But yeah
She’s a powerhouse
A Texas Pete in action
On Fire
Burning for Hope
Destiny
Opportunity
Experience
She’s on the way there
But, she doesn’t know it yet
And in terms of Gulliver’s Travels
She’s already a Giant to
What she thinks is paramount
Irony is so clever
She’ll realize it one day
When she receives her Pulitzer
Either the Real McCoy
Or the Pulitzer within
It makes no difference to her
Cause Grandma said
After you’ve done your best
There’s no more you can do

haha

3 poems a year. That's funny. Well, there's nothing wrong with that. Thank you. I try to just let my self-expression flow rather than force it. I used to force my rhymes. Now it's like who care's whether every line rhymes or not, you know?

Don't wanna take away the feeling of something as I'm writing it just to make a rhyme. I've got to feel what I'm writing now...just like when I'm concentrating on making music with the material that I have.
