El Pájaro (the Little Bird)

¿Dónde puede el pájaro volar?
El cielo es siempre para las nubes.
La lluvia no es generosa.
El color azul es celoso.
El sol duerme a través del día;
Él no tiene autoridad
(Y su ejército está muerto).
Así, ¿donde puede el pájaro volar?
El aire de la cuidad es tóxico.
Las montanas apestan a magia.
El firmamento es para el Dios.
Por donde sea no hay nada.
Él debe brincar para ahora.

***

Where can the little bird fly?
The sky is only for clouds.
The rain has never been generous.
The blue has always been jealous.
The sun sleeps throughout the day;
He has no authority
(And his army is gone).
So where can the little bird fly?
The air of the city is toxic.
The mountains stink of magic.
The firmament is for God.
Everywhere there is nothing.
He will have to hop for now.

------- Author's Notes -------

This is the first poem ever that I have written in Spanish (the first poem I've written in a different language, in fact). For those who don't speak Spanish, the translation is below (it isn't a strict one, just one to get the message across).
