But Almost
Author: Shiloh

Like soft pastels,
as in a flower garden,
or the light of a spring morning,
of butterflies in the distance,
just out of focus...

The memories,
the thoughts,
the might-have-beens...
they are not quite there,
although I want them to be.
I will have to just enjoy them
just the way they are,-
not quite there,
but almost.

Alas these bittersweet refelections.....

alas these bittersweet reflections in life....
so beautifully written that your two words remind me (but almost) of the other big word - 'if'
Such is life but always a pleasure to read your profound thought provoking words ....
