Some say they are retired
I say I’m
Plain tired
I have lived a great life
I have a
Wonderful wife
Now I have nothing to do
So I think I will
Write this little diddy for you
I have done it all
I have answered lifes every
Beckoned call
Now it is time for me to go
I have nothing
To show
I have tried to be good
I have done
Everything I should
I’m just a poor old man
I get by
The best I can
I can’t walk
I can
Hardly talk
But I will get by
Because I
Will try
A lot of folks would give up
And throw their life away as if
It were stale coffee rom a cup
I am going to stick around
True love
I have found.
